Not...bad.
V is my preferred energy drink of choice, I’m not a Red Bull person, I find it too melon-y.
I did wonder, when I sipped V Blue whether the colour of the can was influencing how it tasted, that ‘hmm, blue’ was my first thought.
Upon reflection I’d say it’s got a hint, or an idea of passionfruit. Not passionfruit in any real sense, more the acidity of passionfruit.
The ingredients list on any product like this doesn’t really enlighten in any way as to what actually makes it taste ‘blue’. All it says is the very vague “flavours”.
I do remember V Blue being something that was released many years ago and you couldn’t buy it in the supermarket. Now you can, and I bought one to try once again.
It’s not bad. V Red I thought wasn’t good.
There is a flavour within V Blue that’s hard to identify. Now that I finish the can I think maybe it’s the Red Bull-style melon-y sort of flavour, which I at first thought was passionfruit acidity.
I’ll probably buy it again, though probably wouldn’t buy a four pack of it.
